Taylor Swift - RED Album Review! - MusicHeartstring Edition!!

'During the webchat, Swift revealed the meaning behind her album's title:
"All the different emotions that are written about on this album are all pretty much about the kind of tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships that I’ve experienced in the last two years. All those emotions — spanning from intense love, intense frustration, jealousy, confusion, all of that — in my mind, all those emotions are red. You know, there’s nothing in between. There’s nothing beige about any of those feelings."'

Gone are the days of  the teenage girl with tear drops on her guitar (at least for now) and here comes the arrival of a young woman!

Taylor Swift's newest album, tentatively titled 'Red' is a highly aware musical portrait that is deserving of the recognition and popularity it will undoubtedly receive.

(I got this CD Saturday, two days before it's release for some reason and have had enough time to fully listen to it.)
With it's clearly, yet still splendid commercial hits or soon to be hits, 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', 'I Knew You Were Trouble' 'Red' , '22' and 'State of Grace' Swift accomplishes to enchant listeners by providing them with catchy tunes and beats that nicely incorporate pop flare to her country twang!

'22' is a brilliantly fun catchy song that shows Swift wild side as it goes on about going out to the club with her friends and dancing to flirt with the watching guys, while 'I Knew You Were Trouble' is an odd (for her), yet very, very enjoyable track with it's repetitive synthesized beats that truly make you want blast your ipod or radio despite strange stares you will receive from bystanders, while 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' the clear breakaway smash hit, that just makes you want to break the repeat button as you listen to it over and over. Seriously! Why is that song so addictive????

For me the stand out songs are the two feature tracks, 'Everything Has Changed' with the brilliant Ed Sheeran and 'The Last Time' with lead singer Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol as well as 'Treacherous', 'I Knew You Were Trouble' '22' and lastly, 'Sad Beautiful Tragic'.

'Everything Has Changed' is a beautiful song that is completely melodious. I really hope that they play it on the radio so that people who are that familiar with Swift can hear the quality music she is able to produce. Lightbody's vocals provide the perfect harmonies that has now caused the song to be the most listened to track off the album on my Itunes. 'Everything Has Changed' is completely brilliant due to Ed Sheeran! I mean really, whatever this guy does and whoever he is singing with, he just makes everything better! ---

---PEOPLE, if you are not listening to Ed Sheeran, get started! This man is one of a kind! He can rap and sing, but his music, his lyrics actually have a message and meaning. They are so fluid and wonderful and honest! He is a true musician!---

For those who prefer classic Tay Swift, the tracks 'All Too Well', 'I Almost Do' 'Stay Stay Stay' and 'Holy Gorund' are without a doubt the most reminiscent of previous albums and stand out here but still manage to be cohesive with the rest of her mature and pop indulged ballads.

'All Too Well'  has the lyrics "You call me up again just to break me like a promise, so causally cruel in the name of being honest." Which for anyone who listens to Swift will love 'cus she has a way of being extremely simple while still being able to deliver a punch. And 'I Almost Do' is definitely the closest thing this album has to being a schoolgirl diary entry, which is not an insult, because tracks like this is why Swift is so popular; she is able to connect to her audience.

With a whomping 16 tracks plus additional 6 tracks when you buy the album from Target stores, Taylor Swift fourth studio Album 'Red' has something for everyone. It's an album that you will want to listen to over and over. It will give you chills, make you laugh and will more than likely be your favourite Taylor Swift CD to date! Go buy it asap!

Tay Swift's 'Red' album gets 5 Out Of 5 Hearts!
