PLL Review 2

Pretty Little Liars Season 1 Ep 19 'A Person of Interest'

Here's What Happened:

The girls are being interrogated by the police, telling them of the video they saw with Ian and Allison. The police, don't seem to believe them. The girls parents talk about how the girls have been through enough, when the girls are approached by an officer named Garret who they apparently know because use to live down the road. The Chief seeing that Garret knows them, decides that he is going to help him find out if the girls are lying or not.

Hmmm? Who  really is Garret? And will he stick around?

Spencer's parents talk to her and tell her that she might need some help since she believes that Ian killed Allison. Then Melissa and Ian walk in all uber kreepy telling Spencer that they forgive her. Spencer upset and angry says that she doesn't care and that she doesn't feel safe in the house and that she knows Ian killed A. Ian says he should leave and Melissa gets angry that Spencer makes everything about her. Spencer's parents firmly believe that Spencer is going loco.

But shes' not. I don't think it was Ian who killed  A, but Melissa who did.

Paige is back and has been swimming at night to avoid Emily. Emily tries talking to her and Paige is all antsy starring around them. She tells Emily to forget their kiss and Emily says its forgotten.

Spencer is with Toby at a motel where he has decided to stay to avoid Jenna. Spencer hears music. Flute music and follows the sound. Its the same music Jenna was playing during the last episode. She finds the motel room where its coming from and peeks through the window where she sees the bag Ian gave Jenna. Spencer looks at the door and just above the no smoking sign, it says 214. Room 214. the mysterious number.

This is it right?

It has to be!

It is!

I think Ian and Jenna are doing the deed. Jenna does like guys shes not suppose to have.

Hanna is with Caleb in the kitchen when her mom walks in and he hides. Her mom tells her not to trust boys like Caleb and then she leaves. Caleb walks back in and the pair kiss, apparently an official couple.

Aria walks into Mr. Fitz(Ezra)'s  room and sees him talking with Jenna just before she receives a text from A saying that the Lover and the Scorned are buddy-ing up!

Hehehe, A is one wicked person! Love her . . .

Jenna leaves and Aria and Ezra talk about their date night and he tells her about Jenna's short story of a blind girl who is caught in a fire created by her brother. Mr. Fitz asks Aria if  Toby really started the fire on purpose and she says no.

In school Spencer sees Garret and tells him he needs to follow up on the case against Ian. Spencer is then at the motel with Toby and they pay the maid to let them into Jenna's room where they find the traded bag, but its empty.

Aria is in the bathroom and when she looks up into the sink mirror, Jenna is standing beside her. KREEP!They talk about Mr.Fitz and Jenna insinuates that Aria and he are together. Jenna's tells Aria that Big Brother is always watching.

Emily receives a note in her locker from Paige telling her to meet her at a bar.

Hanna and Caleb are making-out as they enter her house and are caught by her mom, he has found Caleb's bag in their basement. She makes Caleb leave and Hanna storms out after him, after her mom declines letting him spend the night since its getting dark.

Em goes to the bar and sees Paige. They talk about Maya and first kisses and Emily tells Paige about how she was in love with Allie. Awe, that's sad.

Aria and Ezra are at his apartment and he brings up Jenna and how he feels sorry for, really annoying Aria.

Hanna and Caleb are camping? Yerp, they are camping. That's funny and cute. They bond and Hanna tells Caleb about being 'fat' and Hefty Hanna and Caleb tells her how his mom dropped him off at his aunts' house and never came back. That's sad. And Hanna makes it better with a kiss.

At the bar, Paige is singing, um, really badly. She forces Em onto the stage and duo rock it! Sorta. ; <)

At the motel Spencer and Toby wait up for Jenna to return playing board games and Spencer, of course is winning . . . actually Toby is and Spencer is kind of annoyed.  Then Spencer watches as Toby changes clothes. :<). Bad girl.

Emily and Paige kiss.

Spencer, wearing Toby's shirt gets into Toby's bed as he sleeps and lies beside him.

Jenna and Caleb are about to . . .  wait! Yup, they are about to have sex. In the woods. In a tent. That's funny, but still nice. Don't worrying, they're being safe.

In Em's room, Em is texting Paige and Aria is avoiding the pondering Ezra who wants to know what really happened to Jenna, making her blind. He doesn't seem to think Aria did it, but he cant stop bringing it up.

Spencer wakes up with her arm around Toby and climbs out of bed as he wakes. They hear the flute playing and go to Jenna's room where they find a boombox playing the music and the BAG, with ice in it and a note from A that says their getting colder. Toby wants to know who A is and Spencer says she doesn't know.

Emily and Paige are picnicking in the woods, where they say how much they like each other, but Paige says she can't been seen with her EVER, after Emily asks her to a concert. Emily understanding, yet hurt, says she is not ashamed of who she is and can't go back in the closet for her.

Aria is upset and distraught as she enters Ezra's apartment. It appears she is going to tell him, how Jenna really got blind. Hmmm? How will take this news? I'm hoping guude, 'cus I like this couple.

Hanna arrives home from her camping trip with Caleb and her mom is mad at her, but Hanna ignores her and goes up stairs. Hanna's cell rings and it's Caleb. Her mom answers it.

Spencer leaves the motel and Toby invites her to always come back when she wants . . . then they kiss. Alot. This ep has a lot of kissing! Spencer is googly and Toby is grinning.

Caleb has been invited to dinner and Caleb and Hanna's mom have a little talk in which mommy tells Caleb that if he hurts her daughter he will regret it, but that he can stay in their guest room.

Aria has told Ezra about the fire in Jenna's garage(?) and he tells her he loves her and nothing will change.

Hanna and Caleb kiss goodnight and Caleb goes outside to make a call, where he says he's out and he can't do it anymore. FTW!? is going on! Is he talking to A? To Jenna? WHO!?!?

Then!! Melissa tells Spencer that Ian was with her the night Allison died 'cus she was getting an abortion!! Enter her parents who tell Spencer no more lies and that they know she was seeing Ian last year.

Aria, Hanna and Emily are outside of Spencer's house not knowing whats going when they get a text from A!

----A is watching a video just recorded of the girls outside of Spencer's as He or She, is eating popcorn ----

In the land of Nevernever, nothing is what it seems!

Amazon Description:

'Meghan Chase has a secret destiny—one she could never have imagined… Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school…or at home.
When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.
But she could never have guessed the truth—that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face…and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.'
This book and I, we had some beef. Don't get me wrong; this book was good, pretty  darn good actually, but I know, I've read it before and I know, I've seen it before. This book was not very original. It had some similiar bits from Narnia (even some lines reminded me exactly of the lines in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe), it has several elements of Alice in Wonderland which I'm really hoping was purposeful. It reminded me of Harry Potter in many aspects, but the biggest similarity comes from the 80's film, The Labyrinth, and well, that was wierd, yet at the same time interesting.

The characters in this book were great for the most part, though I did question some of them often. For example and this is no spoiler, within the first few pages of the book, Meg gets mad at her best friend Robbie for making fun of some jock guy named Scott that she likes, which just made me think, b***h! Then after daydreaming about tutoring said jock which results in him threatening to ruin her social life after something involving computers and slander, the next day he is nice to her and she acts as if nothing happened and is once again fondling over him. Seriously!?! Good part, that Meg, doesn't show up often.

I also didn't understand how her four year old half-brother, Ethan, was able to speak in complete sentences like he did. He is four and has perfect grammar . . . OK. Sure.

Most of the other characters were great for me, though Robbie/Puck was sorta of annoying at times, trying to be the joker/comic relief, but otherwise every one's personality was believable and really awesome.

I loved the imagery in this book. The world was beautiful, but I could not shake the feeling that I saw it all before. The journey Meghan takes was very typical of fantasy stories, where the main character runs into magical creature/dilemma after magical creature/dilemma in order to help develop the world and characters as quickly as possible. There wasn't much breathing time for the reader to honestly know the characters that kept being introduced and appreciate their roles. But at the same time, the breakneck pace makes sure that you are never bored and that you want to know more.

The story moves along nicely for the most part and in the end is deserving of its huge fan following, 'cus though I know this story, I still love and want to know more about this world!

Fox 2000 Finds Delirium
Source: Variety , LaurenOliverBooks February 24, 2011

"Fox 2000 has plans to develop Lauren Oliver's recently-released novel Delirium into a feature film, Variety reports.

The book, which came out earlier this month, is Oliver's followup to the successful "Before I Fall" (previously optioned by Fox 2000). The official description of the novel is as follows:

Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn't understand that once love--the deliria--blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold.

Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Haloway has always looked forward to the day when she'll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: she falls in love.

Steampunk, insanity and magic, love and misery!

Amazon Description:

'In the city of Lovecraft, the Proctors rule and a great Engine turns below the streets, grinding any resistance to their order to dust. The necrovirus is blamed for Lovecraft's epidemic of madness, for the strange and eldritch creatures that roam the streets after dark, and for everything that the city leaders deem Heretical—born of the belief in magic and witchcraft. And for Aoife Grayson, her time is growing shorter by the day.
Aoife Grayson's family is unique, in the worst way—every one of them, including her mother and her elder brother Conrad, has gone mad on their 16th birthday. And now, a ward of the state, and one of the only female students at the School of Engines, she is trying to pretend that her fate can be different.'

I pre-ordered this book the moment I saw it and it arrived the day before it came out and that was grool! The book is new, so details will be sparse. Firstly, you should defo read this book. Maybe not buy, but library it, unless you LOVE steampunk fiction, which I don't. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I bought this book because I really enjoyed it but . . . we had some issues.

This book reminded me of The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman, not only in story, with a girl living in a magical and technological world on a quest with a guy friend, but also in the writing style. Sometimes I wasn't sure what was happening, but once I did a little read over, I understood. The writing in this book was good and sometimes extremely beautiful, but just like TGC, it was under-ly described and then overly described which irked my nerves, but didn't in the least bit make me want to stop reading, but did make me need to put the book down for a while to reflect over what was happening.

This book is big and has a lot going on, even when nothing is actually going on. You can guess somethings what will happen like with all books, but the story also has many, many plot twist that will excite and force you to read on to know whats happening.

Aoife was very great and feisty. She was strong-willed and realistic while still maintaining her childish qualities which was pretty great. She was brash and didn't let any of the snobby girls or people in general get her down.

ALSO, this book has some mjrly creepy moments that sent chills up my arm and I loved it! This books is really darn good, so everyone who loves YA and Steampunk fiction, must read it!

Sequel: Pandemonium & Requiem

Love, lies, secrets, and self-doubt construct a beautiful novel!

'Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: she falls in love.'

"Love, the deadliest of all deadly things; It kills you both when you have it and when you don't."

IF THAT quote does not make you want to read this book, this elegant and entrapping book, idk what will!

This book is not hard to get into at all, so once you read the first chapter, you won't wanna stop and like I said with Across the Universe, I'm not going to go into detail 'cus I want everything to be a surprise since the book is new!

This book is so sad, first off. Not Forest of Hands and Teeth sad, where its depressing, ( FHT is one of my favourite books ever, BTW) but is genuinely sad. There is this scene where Lena's cousin Grace, is crying into her pillow silently screaming for her deceased mommy, over again and again and just that little fragment of a paragraph made a lump form in my throat. The writing is soooo good, that the smallest things will get you.

People in this 'world' have no real emotions and they do some very horrible and odd things, like ignoring their children when they get hurt and even some more deadly things that will make you cringe.

Though I love the writing as a whole, it's somehow weird. Its not like some books where you get a visual with a sentence, but instead it takes a paragraph or a page, not for something to be described, but for you to get the full effect of what is happening around you (the character) and at first it was different, but within no time I loved it, because the entire section is drenched in emotion. Lauren is such great writer and is so amazing for coming up with this story.

The characters are all very multi-dimensional and you see so many sides of real personalities. They are genuine. Alex was great love interest though somethings concerning him were a tad bit obvious, but I really think they weren't meant to be a surprise.

Lena is a strong, yet emotional character who one moment knows what she wants and the next, has no clue at all and I found that very refreshing. Though sometimes (hardly three) I thought her fascination with Alex, annoying, it was still realistic.

This was a great book and you will not be disappointed. It shows you a possible future that is both intriguing and extremely frightening at the same time and will leave you wanting more! I WANT MORE!

Story: 5/5

The Vampire Diaries Season 2 Ep 16 'The House Guest'

Unless you have been living in a tree somewhere in the jungle, you have heard of the CW show/book series, The Vampire Diaries that is - was written by author L.J. Smith and that comes on every Thursday night at 8 p.m. on the CW.

I love VD and it easily my favourite show on TV at the moment. I utterly and completely prefer it over Twilight and even, dare I say, True Blood. I loved loved LOVED True Blood the first season, but the previous two have been waaaay less then great. Way less.

Anyways, like how I have started posting about Pretty Little Liars, I will now start blogging about VD after every episode with my thoughts, feelings and the overall jest of the ep!

AND HERES a really awesome vid I recently discovered for VD, that I think you'll enjoy!

The artist is the incredible Sky Ferreira who I tell everyone about and the song is called 'Obsession'! Here are some links to her really great music vids: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxFFJu7RVuk , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMvWA7Vv96w and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nr4EQtoY2lo!!

Now on to the VD review:

The ep starts off with Elena and Stefan kissing and being all cute - cut to Damon who is sitting on the couch and who can't help but watch as Elena walks by.

Zoom! Damon speeds on over to Elena and holds her by the throat believing she is Katherine. Elena pleads for him to let go, as Stefan walks up. Damon lets go and Elena is confused as to why he would think she is Katherine, "Is she out of the tomb?" Yes -

Stefan speeds to his room and throws Kat against the closet choking her, but she claims she is Elena. What? Enter the real Kat, the one Damon choked and Stefan lets go of Elena.

Matt tells Caroline of Tyler visiting before he left town, but not what he said, which was to take care of her. Matt loves Caroline and tells her that its all up to her, she has to make the next move.

Elena is mad that Kat's out of the tomb and wants her out of the house, but Katherine swears she is here to help them fight and kill Klaus.

Bonnie and Jeremy do a brief kiss in the hall and Bonnie decides she wants to talk to Luca.

Damon has some fun with using a flame thrower and burning Elijah though he doesn't 'die'. Damon is having waaay too much fun with this btw. He continues to burn Elijah, who can't really die, since he is an Original.

Elena and Alaric have a heart to heart about Jenna and Alaric says he has to tell her the truth because he loves her.

Stefan and Bonnie talk to Luca and his pops, Dr. Martin, and they agree to safe Luca's sister and kill Klaus, but not really. Luca's dad says they have to find Elijah and bring him back to life.

Elena, Bonnie and Caroline are having a girls night out and Jenna comes in and is invited to hang with them to help her vent over her break-up with Alaric.

Luca and his dad put their plan into motion and Luca magics his way into the Salvtore home, invisible from head to foot, where he searches the house and finds Elijah and begins pulling out the stake, when Kat stops him, only to have herself stabbed by the invisible witch!

Damn! This show is soooo brilliant!

Damon speeds in and saves her, as Luca starts pulling out the stake again, but only until Damon uses the flame thrower he was torching Elijah with earlier and burns Luca to death, despite his fathers attempts to magically save him.

Then at a bar, where Caroline, Elena, Bonnie and Jenna are, Caroline goes on stage where a band has just finished playing and glamours the singer to be her background players while she sings, confessing her love for Matt, and they kiss in the lights of the stage.

OK, really korny, but still, nice. Sorta. ; )

Stefan is then at Luca's apartment where Luca's father has started a new spell, one that seemly is meant to kill Elena, since he is chanting over her hairbrush and other items he stole from her room.

Kat and Damon leave to go help Stefan with Elena and Kat says she has a plan. I wonder what that is . . .

Bonnie finally tells Elena that she likes her little bro, Jeremy and Elena tells her that he deserves happiness and no one would be better then her. Awe, that's lame, yet very sweet, I guess.

And no, its revealed that Dr. Martin still wants Elena alive so that she can be the sacrifice and after he vampirebrainzaps Stefan he leaves for the bar, where Caroline and Matt are making out in the bathroom. Bonnie notices him as he walks in and she tries to talk to him, but he ignores her, sets fire to the place and then, as a diversion to get Elena out of the bar, Caroline attacks him.

Dr. Martin vampirebrainzaps her and Matt, the ohso noble gent he is tries to attack Luca's dad, only to get stabbed in the throat with a broken bottle, much to Caroline's screams of dismay!

Though I totally saw that coming, it is still krazy!

Is Matt dead?!?!

. . . . .

No, thank goodness, he's not. Caroline feeds him her blood and heals him.

Stefan and Elena go home where Jeremy and Bonnie are talking about Luca's death.

Elena walks up the stairs to the bathroom and is about to throw water on her face when Dr. Martin appears and is about spell her, but she jumps back revealing she is actually Katherine.

Kat pounces and rips at his throat killing him. Bonnie and Jeremy and Stefan run up stairs and Bonnie is sad, though she knows it had to be done. She reaches down to close his eyelids when he sits up straight and grabs her head, making the whole room shake and her scream (giving her, her powers back perhaps?), before Stefan breaks his neck, really killing him!

Kat and Elena talk, saying how they don't like each other and Kat says
that all she wants is to help them kill Klaus and that means keeping Elena safe.

Bonnie and Jeremy are talking and being all sweet when she reveals that yep, Luca's pops did indeed restore her powers and something else - the secret to killing Klaus!!

The episode draws to an end with Caroline revealing to Matt she is a vampire. Matt freaks out, which is so sad for Caroline as she cries and he tries to run away, finally able to believe what Vicky told him the previous season about there being vampires, but Caroline is forced to stop as he continues to freak out.

Elena and Jenna are eating ice cream when there is a knock on the door. Jenna answers and Elena, feeling something is up, follows her:

"I'm Elena's mother"

Elena: "Isobel . . ."

Jenna's face = SHOCK!!

Sadly, though VD will not return until friggin April 7! APRIL 7!!! That's horrible, but I can not wait!!!

Though still, a great ep, it wasn't the best of the season, so All in All it gets a 4/5!

The Vampire Diaries - Got Wood Preview

The CW's Secret Circle Starts Casting!

It has been announced that the star of the former CW show, Life UneXpected (one of my favourite shows), Brittany Robertson has been cast to play the lead role of Cassie in The Secret Circle pilot. So this means, if the reps at CBS and Warner Bros and the works like what they see, TSC will start airing sometime this fall. (ohplease, ohplease, let it happen)

The Secret Circle, which  includes The Iniation, The Captive and The Power, is a book series written by the author of another book based progam on the CW, The Vampire Diaries, L.J. Smith, whom was recently fired(?) from writing the The Vampire Diares series due to difference of opinion.

TSC Amazon Description:

'The circle's power has lured her home. Forced to move from sunny California to gloomy New England, Cassie longs for her old life. Even so, she feels a strange kinship to a terrifying group of teens who seem to rule her school. Initiated into the coven of witches that's controlled New Salem for hundreds of years, she's drawn into the Secret Circle, a thrill that's both intoxicating and deadly. But when she falls for the mysterious and intriguing Adam, Cassie must choose whether to resist temptation or risk dark forces to get what she wants—even if it means that one wrong move could ultimately destroy her.'

'Caught in the struggle between good and evil . . . Cassie has joined the most alluring—and deadly—in-crowd imaginable. But power comes with a price, and it's more dangerous than she knows. Torn between the dueling desires of the two leaders of the Secret Grcle, she must ultimately choose between saving all of New Salem, and her own dangerous love for the bewitching Adam, which threatens to tear the circle apart. In the ultimate battle between good and evil, will Cassie's supernatural powers be strong enough to lead the coven out of danger? Or will she foil prey to the dark forces within? . . . will she sacrifice her love for the circle to survive? '

I have never read the Vampire Diaries book series but I always watch the show and I have heard/ read the differences between the book series and TV series and in my personal opinion, the TV show is far superior. That being said, I have read The Secret Circle and I LOVED it and really hope that it is made into TV show and that they follow it as closely as possible, much more so then they did with VD.

Visit the Author, L.J. Smith @ http://www.ljanesmith.net/www/! And watch the Vampire Diaries every Thursday night at 8 p.m. on the CW or @ http://www.cwtv.com/!

P.S. L.J. Smith says that she might be writing a sequel/continuing TSC, so keep your fingers crossed 'cus those books are awesome!

"I’ve been lucky for twenty years. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 27, and I didn’t expect to make it to 32. But I did, and once I passed that five-year mark … I started to think I was going to live. At age 34, I had my beautiful son. Two years ago, my dream of being a published author came true. And during these twenty years, my beloved has been by my side. We rode the marriage roller coaster together, sometimes laughing and sometimes screaming.

So lucky.

I’m not angry about the diagnosis. How can I feel angry when I had this gift of time? I’m not even afraid of dying. We all die, and I made my peace with that a long time ago."

On her LiveJournal she said that she had so many ideas for books in her head, but now she will never get to see them come to life and that is so true and incredibly sad. Life is hard people and things that are thrown at you are even harder. Follow your dreams (corny but true) and dont let anyone tell you can't or wont'(!) because you can.

Please keep her and her family in your thoughts! L.K, you will be missed. . . .

Love and time, family and secrets!

Heres' A Description:

'A love out of time. A spaceship built of secrets and murder. Seventeen-year-old Amy joins her parents as frozen cargo aboard the vast spaceship Godspeed and expects to awake on a new planet, three hundred years in the future. Never could she have known that her frozen slumber would come to an end fifty years too soon and that she would be thrust into a brave new world of a spaceship that lives by its own rules.
Amy quickly realizes that her awakening was no mere computer malfunction. Someone—one of the few thousand inhabitants of the spaceship—tried to kill her. And if Amy doesn’t do something soon, her parents will be next.
Now, Amy must race to unlock Godspeed’s hidden secrets. But out of her list of murder suspects, there’s only one who matters: Elder, the future leader of the ship and the love she could never have seen coming.'

This review is going to be short and sweet, because when I review new books, I want everything, including the characters and even the subplots to be a surprise, so, that being said: The writing in this book was good, better then good, it was really great. Though I didn't feel that the voices of the character were very distinct, each character did have their own thoughts and personalities and that's always a bonus.

Amy was a great protagonist, not perfect, but she was really good and I didn't find her annoying at all. Her actions were very real given her circumstances and I was thrilled that her relationship with Elder, was not dumb, meaning since she was awaken from her Cyrosleep early and she now has to discover why, Elder is not her only thought or the reason for her existence and that is always good. She liked Elder, but she was more concerned with fulfilling the plot of the story.

Beth Revis is a new author and she should be beyond and above proud of herself for creating this fantastic novel. I'm not a fan of Sci-fi but this book is great and might just convert me.

For anyone who likes romance, mystery, sci-fi and action, this is your book!

Pretty Little Liars Review 1

Pretty Little Liars Season 1 Ep 18 "The Bad Seed" Review

I have never read any of the PLL books before, but I have heard they are really great. I'm just not into those kind of books, the Chick Books and I say that not offensively, just matter-o-factly 'cus PLL is targeted to teenage girls, so when the PLL TV Series premiered I didn't think I would like it, though the previews were fantastic. But from the very first minute it started, I knew this show was going to be great!!  And it is and it never disappoints!

So from now, I will blog about PLL, after every episode.

BTW, last weeks episode was AMAZING!!

The ep starts off with the girls talking about the school play 'The Bad Seed', that Hanna is signing up for and so is Mona and her BIG ego. Krazy girl, but still oddly cool. Enters Jenna, kreepy and tall, wanting to compose the music for the play, she plays the flute. She talks to Mr. Fitz as the girls watch, stating that she is fascinated by evil. Jenna is really kreepy and my friend told me the other day she makes her afraid of blind people, which is redic, but I sorta have to agree. Jenna is blind, but she somehow is able to stare directly at a person as if she can see their soul, boohoo. ; )

Spencer walks down the stairs and hears a baby crying? FTW! Spooky - then she wakes up. Its a nightmare both dreamwise and real life. A child of her crazy sister Melissa and brother-in-law Ian, that's not a good combo. I'm pretty sure that Melissa killed Allie and is threatening Ian with the video of him and A doing the deed, basically saying that if you don't marry me and get me preggers, I will give the vid to the police and they will think you killed Allison. Plus statutory rape = MJR jail time for Ian.

Aria and Ezra are a nice couple, but how can it end good? Idk. How much older is he anyways?
Caleb and Hanna also spend sometime in the shower together when Caleb is showering and Hanna is grabbing her makeup, her mom walks in. SO, Hanna jumps into the shower to hide and can't help but check out Caleb's butt. Hey, what happened to Lucas? He just disappeared after the dance . . .hmmmm.

Jenna and Ian have a chat and exchange a bag. Whats going on with them? I hope its good! And why is Paige calling Emily?

Side note, Lucy Hale is really beautiful. She should be Snow White in the movie Snow White and the Huntsman.

Flashback to the girls with A at a frat pad, where Ian follows a drunken, falling girl to the bedroom. What a kreep with a capital K!

Em and Toby make-up and decide to have a friendly date.

Mr. Fitz and Aria's dad have a beer date and talk about Ezra's life and job. It appears that Fitz is starting to doubt his relationship with Aria. ; ( Yes, he is, because they argue when he suggests leaving the high school and becoming a college professor.

Spencer convinces Toby to steal Jenna's cell to find out what is going on with her and Ian and what 214 means and then they hold hands. Sweet. But is Emily jealous? I don't think so, but  . . .?

Return to the frat party flashback where Hanna is still chubby, never fat in my opinion and the girl Ian was with has fallen down the railing of the stairs. Ian watches. Again, kreep! The poor girl is taken to the hospital, but I don't think it was Ian. Me thinks it was Allison, who was jealous of her being with Ian. She is nutty like that.

And then during play rehearsal, the girls find Ian's trophy with dried blood on the base and bring it to the police. FINALLY! but wait . . .its not human blood - its rat blood.

Aria and Ezra make-up with a kiss, followed by Caleb and Hanna smooching! yerp, yerp!!

The girls are taken out of school by the police who think they are playing a game and Ian watches with a smile. Aria then has a thought. Where was A during the frat party? Did she knock the girl down to get her out of the way so she could be with Ian? I think so. You?

The ep ends with four cages with the girls names on each cage. All of the cages have white rats in them, all but Spencers'. Was it her 'rat' blood that was on the trophy? A sign? A warning?

Well find out soon enough!

All in All a Great Ep! 4.5!

'"Rat" me out.
 Your bloods next'

Love, war, secrets and most importantly dragons! This book soars!

Authors Site Description:

"With her rare ability to breathe fire, Jacinda is special even among the draki—the descendants of dragons who can shift between human and dragon forms. But when Jacinda's rebelliousness leads her family to flee into the human world, she struggles to adapt, even as her draki spirit fades. The one thing that revives it is Will, whose family hunts her kind. Jacinda can't resist getting closer to him, even though she knows she's risking not only her life but the draki's most closely guarded secret. "

Sophie Jordans' Firelight, is a book about a girl named Jacinda who has the the ability to morph into a draki. Jacinda is a greattastic protagonist and I loved and believed every action she made. She struggled with her desires to fly, which always got her in trouble, but she didn't give into what was expected of her. She was strong and passionate and willing to give up everything to be who she really was. But then, when she is nearly killed by Hunters, she is taken away from everything she has known and has to fight to keep her draki and her dreams alive.

Jacinda is a self-conscience girl, but not the annoying type who is always comparing herself to the girls around her and complaining about how she doesn't understand how, soandso, likes her. She is self-conscience, but she loves herself and knows who she is and isn't afraid of learning more about herself. Jacinda has a very interesting relationship with her twin sister and her mother and I love how real it all seems. Tamra was a great character and the contrast between her and Jacinda though they are twins was fun. Tamra is not a draki and that's no secret, so she wants nothing more to be happy, to be prom queen or a cheerleader. Normal.

I really enjoyed Jacinda's connection to Will and the intense flip-flop of her feelings towards him, because they were real. Will was a good love interest and the best part about him was that he didn't need to protect Jacinda against anything and neither her, him. Though they both tried to which is a good thing.

Cassian, the future kingish guy of the draki, was great and I believed everything he said, though I still don't know if any of it is actually true.

Will's relatives, the Hunters of the draki are very, very creepy and they're awesome and the way Will acts around them, was yet again, exactly how someone in his situation would react. All of the characters are real!

But, not everything was great. This book including the title reminded me of Twilight, but it felt like it took all of the best parts of Twilight (which is very little) and constructed a beautiful and captivating tale in a way that Twilight should have been, but other then that, it was topnotched!

And the ending . . . I loved the ending!

THE FARSEEKERS by Isobelle Carmody

Chaos, love, and Misfits are all bound together on a quest.

The Description:

'When the Great White scourges the earth, the surviving mutants develop extraordinary mind powers. Feared and despised by the tyrannical ruling council, the Misfits are persecuted and forced into hiding...
Now their refuge, Obernewtyn, is under threat. Only Elspeth and her allies have any hope of resisting the forces of evil. But even with their mysterious powers, can they survive the treacherous journey?
So much is at stake. And time is running out...

But will they make it back in time to save Obernewtyn before the pass closes with snow or is it too late for Elspeth.'

The Farseekers is the second book in The Obernewtyn Chronicles and it is even better then first book. The story presumably takes place many months after the events of the first book and follows Elspeth Gordie and fellow Misfits who have created their own government in the once frightening Oprhanage Obernewtyn, that is now a safe haven for all Misfits. The Misfits are searching cities from the Beforetimes for clues to their creation and the worlds demise and discover a library that is a true treasure and this sends them on a great adventure that leads to new Misfits with incredible talents, new allies and enemies and death.

The writing in this book improved from the first book and I was never bored. I couldn't put it down! The characters were so real and interesting and their attitudes and struggles where real and awesome.  The pace in this book is great and your learning new things on every page. Though it was a bit confusing with all the characters and new information that  the author just gives the reader as if its something they should already know, the story was still really good. Its really fun to read how they learn about our time, while we learn about theirs at the same time.

The book was so good  and has so many interesting things  going on, that you will be on the edge of your seat waiting for the next story.

FORGOTTEN FIRE by Adam Bagdasarian

War, death, family and hope.

Heres' A Description:

'In 1915 Vahan Kenderian is living a life of privilege as the youngest son of a wealthy Armenian family in Turkey. This world of comfort and security is shattered when some family members are whisked away and others are murdered before his eyes. In too short a time, Vahan loses his home and family and, to survive, is forced to live a life he could never have dreamed of. Somehow Vahan's incredible strength and spirit help him endure even when he knows that each day could be his last.'

Forgotten Fire by Adam Bagdasarian is in one word, Heart-Wrenching. OK, maybe two words! ;<{)

This book was so beautiful and sad and just great. Its' a fast read, not because its simple, but because you don't wanna put it down. Vahan was such a strong and powerful character and his three year struggle for survival was so real without being overbearing that I could feel and imagine everything he went through.
The book starts off with a serious bang that will already bring tears to your eyes, taking place in the Armenian Holocaust that most people don't know about, I certainly didn't. Though Vahan comes from a rich family he never acts like it and that was great. He witnesses people being murdered, rape and suicide and  still manages to be hopeful. You will want to know what happens next after every page and you will not help but love him and his fire to survive. You will marvel over his subtle, yet powerful journey from a 12 year old boy to a man.

Forgotten Fire will have you thinking about it for days and days after.

Story: 6/5
Pace: 4.5/5
Originality: 5/5
Characters: 4.5/5
Writing: 4.5/5
Ending: 4.5/5

The Score is 4.8!

Shadowhunters are the descendants of angels. They have tattoos, they have daggers, oh, and they're AWESOME!!

Amazon Description:

'Magic is dangerous--but love is more dangerous still.
When sixteen-year-old Tessa Gray crosses the ocean to find her brother, her destination is England, the time is the reign of Queen Victoria, and something terrifying is waiting for her in London's Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Only the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons, keep order amidst the chaos.
Kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Sisters, members of a secret organization called The Pandemonium Club, Tessa soon learns that she herself is a Downworlder with a rare ability: the power to transform, at will, into another person. What's more, the Magister, the shadowy figure who runs the Club, will stop at nothing to claim Tessa's power for his own.
Friendless and hunted, Tessa takes refuge with the Shadowhunters of the London Institute, who swear to find her brother if she will use her power to help them. She soon finds herself fascinated by--and torn between--two best friends: James, whose fragile beauty hides a deadly secret, and blue-eyed Will, whose caustic wit and volatile moods keep everyone in his life at arm's length...everyone, that is, but Tessa. As their search draws them deep into the heart of an arcane plot that threatens to destroy the Shadowhunters, Tessa realizes that she may need to choose between saving her brother and helping her new friends save the world...and that love may be the most dangerous magic of all.'

Clockwork Angel by Cassie Clare was brilliant. Filled with great romantic tension and badass villains and the Victorian Stage, I loved it. The writing was awesome and though I was wary of it being too similar to its forefathers, the similarities were actually great and few and far between. The story was great and characters extremely real and mysterious.

Tessa was a great protagonist and didn't at all remind me of Clary which was sooo great. She struggled with herself and the boundaries set upon her because of the time period and dealt with all of them splendidly. I believed all of her qualms with dealing with her brother and loving both Will and  James.

Will however was similar to Jayce, but that didn't make him any less original, just the usual kind of dark, battered and silent type of guy that everyone seems to fall for.

James was great and he just makes you feel sorry for him, but not in a bad way. He was a sincere and kind and amazing character, and if he dies in up coming books he will be missed.

Jessamine was also brilliant and very unique. Not your typical mean girl, but one with actual issues and problems that make you hate her, love her and cheer her on!

Also, Magnus Bane = AWESOME!! Can not wait for the sequels!

Story: 5/5
